Update on Paypal to BDO
After the approval of my account in BDO for electronic banking, I found out that the money initiated a week ago has been successful. Its just that the charges are quite high.. Imagine sending USD 10.00, credited in my account = only around Php 210.00.
But all okay for me, all I want is the possibility of transfering money from Paypal to my bank account.
I will be updating my post soon to give a detailed information on how to do it.

The Young Businessman
The young businessman had just started his own firm. He rented a beautiful office and had it furnished with antiques.
Sitting there, he saw a man come in to the outer office.
Wishing to appear the hot shot, the businessman picked up the phone and started to pretend he had a big deal working.
He threw huge figures around and made giant commitments. Finally he hung up and asked the visitor, "Can I help you?"
The man said, "Yeah, I've come to activate your phone lines."

Booth Dress Up
Our company participated in the recently held Print & Label 2009 exhibition at the SMX Convention Center.
As our company is into stickers, we also wrapped our booth with stickers. Initially we were informed that it is not allowed but after negotiations, the organizers approved.
Below are some of our photos: Hubby and Me

Paypal to BDO Account
I have been thinking of transferring money from Paypal to BDO. But since my money is not that much anyway, so I always leave it in paypal. But this time, my brother from the US sent some money through Paypal, no option now but to transfer to my bank account so I can also sent to our mom in Cagayan de Oro.
I tried withdrawing USD 10.00 first. I dont know if this works! I hope. But so far, the status in Paypal is Completed.
Today, I transferred another USD 50.00.

Top 10 CNN Heroes - Vote for Efren Penaflorida
You might have seen the ads all over the net, watched on TV, heard from fellow Filipinos about this young Filipino nominated to be one of the CNN heroes.
Now, its time for us to give it back to Efren what he truly deserves. For his love and passion to help!
For those who does not know Efren and his team yet, here is their story:
For the past 12 years, Peñaflorida and his team of teen volunteers have taught basic reading and writing to children living on the streets. Their main tool: A pushcart classroom with books, pens, tables and chairs.
Stocked with books, pens, tables and chairs, his Dynamic Teen Company recreates a school setting in unconventional locations such as the cemetery and municipal trash dump.
Peñaflorida knows firsthand the adversity faced by these children. Born into a poor family, he lived in a shanty near the city dump site. But he says he refused to allow his circumstances to define his future.
"Instead of being discouraged, I promised myself that I would pursue education," he recalls. "I will strive hard; I will do my best."

In high school, Peñaflorida faced a new set of challenges. Gang activity was rampant; they terrorized the student body, vandalized the school and inducted members by forcing them to rape young girls, he says.
"I felt the social discrimination. I was afraid to walk down the street."
Peñaflorida remembers standing up to a gang leader, refusing to join his gang. That confrontation proved fateful. At 16, he and his friends "got the idea to divert teenagers like us to be productive," he says.
He created the Dynamic Teen Company to offer his classmates an outlet to lift up themselves and their community. For Peñaflorida, that meant returning to the slums of his childhood to give kids the education he felt they deserved.
"They need education to be successful in life. It's just giving them what others gave to me," he says.
Today, children ranging from ages 2 to 14 flock to the pushcart every Saturday to learn reading, writing, arithmetic and English from Peñaflorida and his trained teen volunteers.
