Stucked in Traffic

Traffic jam can make or break your day! Yesterday was a painful experience for me. We were stucked in traffic for a very long time. I was supposed to visit 3 customers yesterday but I was only able to make 2. Loss of time. Loss of energy. You could just imagine how boring that was. If only we have a Car DVD player in the car. That could have been a perfect time to watch my favorite film. That would have been a movie marathon!

Now I know what to give to hubby this Christmas. While I was on my search for DVD player, I found a website called Shopwiki which offers all my wish list this Christmas. Search no more, one shop offers them all!

Gold Collectors Go For Gold Coins Gain

My boss's friend who is a gold collector has visited us recently. He is truly an antique collector and so we included in his itinerary to visit museums, art galleries, antique shops and the like! We also brought him to a store who is an antique collector himself which sells old gold.

Voila! meeting of minds of two gold collectors has the same source of gold supplier. I could not believed that he himself is buying from Gold Coins Gain.

As I was curious about their talks, I cant help myself but checked in the net what are they talking about, and yes, Gold Goins Gain has all the gold coins you can think of. They offer a wide variety of gold from all parts of the world.

Thinking of collecting gold coins, there is one place to go! Check their website at once!.

The Grass Is Not Always Greener

One afternoon, a lawyer is riding in his limousine when he sees two men at the side of the road eating grass. Disturbed, he orders his driver to stop the car and gets out to investigate. He asks one of the men: "Why are you eating grass?" "We dont have any money for food", the man replies. "We have to eat grass."

"Well then, you can come with me to my house and I'll feed you", the lawyer says.

"But sir, I have a wife and two children with me. They are over there, under that tree."

"Bring them along," the lawyer replies.

Turning to the other man, he adds: "You can come with us too."

In a pitiful voice, the second man says: "But sir, I also have a wife and six children with me!"

"Bring them all," the lawyer responds.

They all get into the car - which is no easy task, even for a limousine. Once en route, one of the men turns to the lawyer and says: "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you."

The lawyer replies: "Glad to do it, You'll really love my place. The grass is almost a foot high."

Mellow Yellow Monday #42

My laptop was broken since Saturday so I cant search for stored photos. As I have no time to go out and get fresh photos, I realized that our office is surrounded by yellow paintings painted by my German friend, Catrin Rothe.

Museum in the Philippines

We currently have a guest who is my boss business partner and also an antique collector. Part of his itinerary was to visit museums. So wherever he goes, for pleasure or for business, art-related side trips are always part of the itinerary.

Sunday - visit in the Museum. But to our great disappointment, museums in the Philippines are closed on Sunday! He cannot believed it! Only in the Philippines! Around the world, museums are normally open on Sunday then close on Monday. Here its the other way around!

Based on my experience whilst in Germany, it is true that indeed Sunday are open.

How about in your country? Is it open on Sunday?

My PB Laptop is Broken

My ever loyal friend, my powerbook 15" is broken. I was really pissed yesterday afternoon!

In the morning, we were so tense and busy in the office as we have an important visitor. Everybody wore uniform, amazing - even pants and shoes.. wow, how nice! The warehouse guys looked decent in the their uniform. Normally, they are just in their slippers and short with company t-shirt. We are not so strict in that. Office pretended to be really busy (just kidding) we were busy din naman!

When our visitor came, I was the one who showed them around the warehouse.. if I have not mentioned yet, we have rented 6 warehouses of approx 7000sqm in the whole compound. So far so good.. impression was better compared to the previous visit. Thanks the Lord!

While roaming around, the staff of course showed their best work.. their best smile too! After we left one warehouse, I heard one of the team leaders saying: " Be natural, they left already, stop pretending!". Thats funny...

When the guest left, everybody was tired already! And so in the whole afternoon, we were relaxed even if the work still piled up. There are times when I allowed people to just relax, sometimes just search the net. I can be forgiving at times! And oh yes, I sometimes play! Thats why I let them play too!

To cut the story short, yes, my laptop finally broke down after the never-ending blogwalking yesterday!

Dacky, our ever loyal tech guy, came to pick up my laptop at home. How nice naman!

Trick or Treat 2009

Its November once again and as always its Halloween time. Not only we go to cemetery, church or just lit candles outside the house. Its also time for Halloween but my kids preferred: Trick or Treat time!

And what is a Trick or Treat without a costume? End of October, I already asked my 2 kids what they want to wear for halloween.. and as expected - still the usual Superman and Batman costume! They are still in this superhero moods! I do hope that for next year, they can already wear something different.. Believe it or not, I have already in their closet 2 pairs of Superman and 2 pairs of Batman but I need to buy new sets as costumes are already old and with a usual wear and tear. In Visayan language, we have this "hubo laba sul-ob uga"! Which means, wash and wear!

Now presenting my 2 superhero kids with their cousins: Nicole and Kurt and friend Paulo:

Superman Francis

Batman Christoph

Spiderman Paulo

Green Lantern Kurt

Fairy Ate Nicole

Happy Halloween everyone! Enjoy the rest of the month!

Alexa's Christening

Alexa was baptized last October 18, 2009 at the St. Martin de Porres Church at Andrea Village, Bacoor, Cavite. Thanks to Mama Lorna for making it possible. Yes, I was inactive for this event as I was really busy at work. I originally planned to do it on Alexa's 1st birthday on December 10 to save on cost. But since my mom-in-law voluntered to organize it, I can only say YES and Thank you!

I went around SM Bacoor for her dress but I didnt find a suitable dress for her there. As we were on the way to an Octoberfest at the Fort, I dropped by SM Moa and so happy to find this cute dress.

Not only its beautiful, it also look good on her. Got it only at Php 350+, I cant remember the exact price. But really nice and comfy!
