My kids love Christmas! They kept on saying.. Merry Merry Christmas.. I love Santa. I want to go to German Club..Happy Birthday Papa Jesus.. I want to go to the North Pole.. where are my gifts? Bla blah... these are the mostly used words of my kids these days!

I have so much to blog about but still finding time to concentrate. I thought I would have more time to blog as we dont have work from the 20th till January 4. But then again, I was wrong! I cant even open my email and just rely on my blackberry emails.

So many important events. Christmas parties. Alexa's 1st birthday. My husbands 36th birthday. Our wedding anniversary. Christmas Day. My mom visited us for Christmas from Cagayan de Oro. Today is Boyets birthday!

Wow.. many many happy moments! I just love Christmas! I hope everyday is Christmas.

My entry for this week are photos of mushrooms taken while I was in Germany. Nice looking mushrooms right?

I went to RFC's party shoppe and I could not find any Strawberry Shortcake pinata. So I just bought a Barbie design pinata and as Melbert to make a strawberry shortcake.

Last weekend, we went to German Club to celebrate Childrens Party with Nikolaus. Boys were happy seeing other kids. Entrance fees for members is Php 390/person while free of charge for kids.

Entertainment offered: face painting, bubble show, magic show by Rufus.

Kids enjoyed the party so much especially when Santa came out.

December rush. Payroll rush. Year end reporting. Christmas party. Too many things to do, too less time to prepare for Alexa's party. Now, our creative staffs are helping me out, sometimes during office hours. Pssst.. dont tell the big boss!

Yesterday lunch time, I sneaked out in the office and went to SM Bacoor to buy Alexa's dress and for Alexa's check up with her pedia.

Done in a rush. This is what I bought. I am excited for Sunday's birthday celebration for Alexa.

Oh well, as usual, I am super late again with my preparation. I always prefer to do things in a rush kaya super ngarag ako ngayon.. Alexa's celebration for 1st bday will just be a simple one. :)

With materialism rampant in our society, its hard for parents to explain the real meaning of Christmas to their children. One of the hardest things to explain to children in a truly Christian way is the real meaning and history behind Santa Claus. Here's how you can shed a holy light upon today's worldly version of Santa Claus.

Instructions:
Things you'll need:
- Knowledge of the real meaning of Christmas
- The true story of St. Nick

Step 1
First, you must stress to your children the real meaning of Christmas. Its not just another holiday. Its not just a time to give and get gifts while eating cookies together. We do all these things to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

Step 2
After your children have a firm grasp of the real meaning behind Christmas, you can then go on to explain how Santa Clause came into being. He is actually today's version of old time St. Nicholas who lived back in the third century and was known for his love for children and for helping the poor. Out of love for God, He is said to have left bags of money and other necessities at the homes of needy people during the night, so that they would wake up to a little bit of good fortune. Today we know Santa Claus as a jolly old man who takes toys out of his large bag and leaves them at the homes of good boys and girls on Christmas Eve. Simply explain to your children that just as St. Nick helped children long ago by bringing them gifts of food and clothing, today Santa Claus brings little children gifts of toys to brighten their day and spread the love of God.

Step 3
To further explain Santa Claus in a Christian way, you can also tell your children how much Santa Claus loves Jesus. Explain that because of his great love for Jesus, Santa wants to share his love by giving gifts to others to make them happy and help them celebrate the birthday of Jesus.
