The Old Cologne Cathedral
Cologne Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church located at Cologne, Germany. This is the most famous landmark in Cologne. It is however crowded with tourist flashing their camera’s here and there. You cannot blame them. and you cannot blame me.
I first visited this Cathedral 7 years ago and the death of my father was still fresh in my heart. The first prayer I uttered was for my father. I really felt God’s presence that time. I was really touched.
Renovated in 2007, the 11,500 squares of glass in 72 colors fill the 20-meter-high window, which was designed by Gerhard Richter, one of Germany’s most important living artists. The 75-year-old painter and photographer declared that he was happy the project had been a success, particularly as, unlike his other work, it isn’t intended to hang for a short time but is to be a “window for eternity.
After the visit, I cannot helped but pose for a souvenir.

That is a beautiful church inside out. The elaborate structure and the stunning stained glass window is just so impressive.
